Foundations in Teaching Social Science

Develops skills in planning, communication, observation and lesson preparation within the Social Science Key Learning Area.

Contact Hours: 3 hours per week

Objectives The course addresses the following objectives:
a. development of personal teaching skills
b. development of curriculum understanding in the area of secondary social science
c. development of resources for teaching Social Science in the secondary school
d. development of interpersonal skills in working with students and teachers

Transition The new course will replace EDDE468 from semester
1 2000. Students failing in EDDE468 will be required to enrol in and complete EDDE479.
