To provide students with the opportunity to explore ways in which technology is integrated in educational settings and gain a basic understanding of the issues which relate to this integration. Students will also be given the opportunity to develop skills in the evaluation of specific implementations of ICT technology.

Objectives
This course provides students with the opportunity to:
1. gain a broad overview of the use of specific ICT application;
2. understand the process of evaluation of ICT in modern educational contexts; and
3. develop meaningful learning experiences which utilize ICT in effective ways.
Content
The following list indicates indicative course content:
An Introduction to Common Software Applications: Databases, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Graphics, desktop Publishing etc
examines the use of common ICT application as tools for learning and the integration of ICT into wider learning experiences; explore the educational uses of software applications; evaluate educational software
