Collaborative Approaches in Disability Services

Examines interpersonal communication processes, which are required for collaborative/planning roles in disability services. In particular, skills will be developed in the areas of listening, interviewing, conflict resolution, and collaborative problem solving. This course is delivered in distance mode.

|Objectives||The course addresses the development of interpersonal communication skills that are essential in effective consultation, collaboration and planning with colleagues and other professionals.|
Specifically, the course will:
1. Develop knowledge and understanding of aspects of the interpersonal communication processes, which are required for the collaborative/planning roles in disability services.
2. Develop listening, interviewing, conflict resolution, and collaborative problem solving skills.
