This course provides an introduction to the educational research methods and design. Students will explore a range of methods for conducting educational research, and develop an understanding of their purpose and implications. Students will develop an understanding of research design, and develop their own research proposal under the mentorship of one or more members of the faculty.
ObjectivesAt the completion of this course the student will have the capacity to: 1) Understand different research methods used in education. 2) Select appropriate research methods depending on the goal of the research. 3) Understand research design. 4) Develop a research proposal. 5) Work effectively with a research mentor or supervisor. | |||
