This course examines current environmental issues facing Australia and the wider world and considers the impact that primary schools can have on implementing ecological sustainable communities.
ObjectivesUpon completion of this course, students will be expected to: 1. Demonstrate knowledge of a number of the key environmental issues of the current period. 2. Critically assess these issues with a view to determining how educational policies and procedures can make an impact in order to develop sustainable communities. 3. Demonstrate strategies that can engage primary schools and their commmunities in enhancing the natural, social, and built environment. | ||
ContentThis course will involve field trips to visit various institutions and persons of value for an advanced understanding of ecological sustainable communities in Australia. It will invite research and discussion on issues in ecological sustainable development; and involve exploration of classroom application of the above. | ||
