This course is designed to provide the student with the skills to effectively identify, critically review and document relevant sources of information to analyse curriculum and National Competency Standards, design curriculum/competency standards and design training programs.
ObjectivesStudents will be able to: Identify and analyse client competency needs Undertake needs analysis Confirm findings of research Produce needs analysis report with an implementation plan Validate report and implementation plan Manage the whole needs analysis task efficiently within the context of the workplace and the system. Determine and respond to the needs for a course or set of learning programs for stakeholders and clients in a specified situation Develop learner profiles Develop a course/learning program structure appropriate to the specified situation Prepare and document all the resource requirements of the course/program Identify and document career/educational pathways Develop course/program monitoring arrangements Produce a full course/program proposal Manage the design and development of the course/program efficiently Analyse and evaluate competency application through curriculum in relation to current literature | |||
ContentThis course examines curriculum and competency applications in vocational education and training. It develops the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and manage needs analyses, develop learner profiles, identify, develop, monitor and manage course/program proposals. Additionally, the course provides the opportunity to reflect on and reconstruct competencies, curriculum and training courses. | |||
