| Objectives | After completing this course students will be expected to demonstrate: a. an understanding of school structures and the nature of school reform; b. an understanding of professional development; c. an understanding of teachers' work and responsibilities; d. an understanding of the varying roles which teachers play in schools, community and society; e. an understanding of the importance of school and community relations and methods of communication; f. an understanding of the professional services and support available to teachers in schools; g. an understanding of the issues and trends of educational practices and policies; h. an understanding of the philosophical and ethical bases of teacher behaviour. |
