Objectives After completing this subject students will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of:
a. school structures and the nature of school reform;
b. the methods of authentic professional development;
c. teachers' work and responsibilities;
d. the varying roles which teachers play in schools, community and society;
e. the importance of school and community relations and methods of communication;
f. the professional services and support available to teachers in schools;
g. the issues and trends of educational practices and policies; and
h. the social, legal and ethical consequences of teacher action.
