This course explores the principles and practices of teaching and learning Stage 4 Music in secondary schools. Students will consider the role and value of music in contemporary society and the broader school curriculum. Students will explore lesson planning and programming for Stage 4 Music curriculum; and a range of strategies, technologies and resources for teaching and assessing Music at the secondary school level.
| Objectives | Upon completion of this course, students will have the capacity to: 1. Articulate the role and value of Music education in contemporary society and the broader school curriculum. 2. Develop lesson plans, programs and assessment tasks for Stage 4 Music curriculum. 3. Use a range of strategies, technologies and resources for teaching and assessing Music at the secondary school level. |
