This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge, understandings and skills necessary to teach the four strands of Creative Arts in the K-6 context.
| Objectives | Upon the completion of this course, students will be expected to demonstrate: 1. knowledge and understanding of the subject area of creative arts 2. knowledge and understanding of the content and structure of the Creative Arts syllabus K-6 3. the development of teaching programs based on syllabus outcomes in each of the four arts strands, and through integration of the strands 4. knowledge of appropriate teaching strategies to enhance learning in the creative arts 5. understanding of the principles and practice of assessment in the arts 6. planning, implementation and evaluation of programs integrating learning in the four arts strands with learning in other curriculum areas in all levels of the K-6 context |
