Prepares students for their future roles as managers of program development and evaluation. It focuses on understandings of the nature of program development and evaluation and a range of factors that influence this process.

Objectives As a result of participating in this course, students will be expected to demonstrate:
1. knowledge of contemporary approaches to program development and evaluation;
2. ability to critically analyse the relationships and tensions between various approaches to early childhood curriculum and frameworks and program development; and
3. understanding of strategies for managing the processes of planning and programming at service level.

4)External factors that impact on program development and evaluation (e.g., accreditation and regulations)
