Builds on students' foundation knowledge in early childhood curriculum to set current practices within a historical context. Students will reflect critically on current movements and issues in early childhood curriculum and their implications for future directions in curriculum.
| Objectives | As a result of participating in this subject, students will be expected to demonstrate: 1. knowledge of the historical roots of early childhood curriculum; 2. familiarity with current curriculum movements; 3. a knowledge of options for curriculum development and evaluation; 4. the ability to think critically about current issues and trends in early childhood curriculum. |
