2. demonstrate awareness of mandatory requirements and available resources in the area of health and safety
3. analyse health and safety policies
4. formulate strategies to involve key stakeholders

* safe work practices in early childhood settings
* stress management
* nutrition and food handling
* health and hygiene practices
* immunisation and children?s health
* mandatory requirements (government regulations)
* quality assurance systems (especially QIAS)
* provision of safe and stimulating learning environments
