Introduces the use of drawing as a communication tool. Emphasis is placed on an awareness of the design process and developing skills in visual problem solving, observation, interpretation, learning to use visual language and visual research methodology.

Objectives On successful completion of this course students will be able to:

1 Communicate ideas effectively through drawing.
2 Demonstrate an understanding of visualisation skills appropriate to the design process.
3 Demonstrate an ability to carry out individual visual research.
4 Be able to analyse visual image objectively.
5.Demonstrate visual understanding of form, proportion and structure.
