This course is Part B of a multi-term sequence. Part A must be successfully completed before undertaking Part B.
Comprises a substantial project usually involving a literature review together with a theoretical and/or practical investigation of a computer science problem. Technical content will be dependent on the project undertaken. Project work is embodied in a thesis and rpesented in a seminar. Additional instruction and assistance in thesis preparation, seminar preparation delivery will be given.

Objectives 1) To give students the opportunity to carry out research oriented activities in a scientific way.
2) To provide students with hands-on exposure to problems in the frontier of knowledge that are relevant to academia or to industry.
3) To present in oral and written form current research issues in these areas. To develop research and communication skills.
