Develops the principles of production, editing and design of screen- and print-based documents and multimedia for web-based delivery. Students will through production engage with social and cultural communication theories. As students will be generating documents for both print and on-line applications they will have the opportunity to review the production requirements and professional practices required for both media.
| Objectives | On successful completion of the course, the student will have: 1. gained skills in the development of print and on-line publications; 2. gained skills in the editing of publications; 3. engaged with the conceptual and technical aspects of design for cross-media delivery of publications; 4. developed their ability to analyse their own and others work. |

| Content | The course will explore the editing and design of publications for both print and on-line applications. Students will be producing traditional 'desktop published' documents and expand their skills by the development of on-line document delivery techniques. As students will be generating documents for both print and on-line applications they will have the opportunity to review the production requirements and professional practices required for both media. | ||||||||
