Students research, write and edit scripts for various forms of factual screen production, including documentary, promotional, educational, public information and advocacy and write narration for factual screen production. They prepare scripts which can be produced successfully within the constraints imposed by the demands of clients, audience, budgets and time schedules.
Objectives1. To engage students with imagination and creative skills through the writing of informative and entertaining scripts. 2. To understand and apply different styles and techniques to the screenplay form. 3. To critically evaluate documentary programmes. 4. To conceptualise and engage with contemporary ideas and to realise their potential as a screenplay for a dedicated programme format. | ||
ContentThe focus of this course is on the conception, the research and the writing of scripts that are acceptable to a Producer or for a television programme.
