Examines the approaches to disaster mitigation and sustainable redevelopment. The students explore and understand the conceptual approaches and operational processes in the context of sustainable disaster recovery.

Objectives
On completion of this course students should be able to:

• Conceptualise resilience based approaches to the sustainable redevelopment of built environment
• Apply mitigation techniques to deal with disaster situations
• Identify and apply recovery concepts for sustainable post disaster redevelopment projects
