Examines the micro, macro and building economics principles relating to construction firms and industry. Elements of mainstream and building economics theories will be integrated and applied to make informed industry focused business decisions.

Objectives
At the end of the course students will be able to:
Apply micro economic principles to construction business operations
Apply macro economic principles to evaluate the impact and performance of the construction industry
Appreciate the social and environmental economic principles in the context of construction industry
Appreciate national and international competitiveness issues impacting the construction industry
