This course examines the process of building measurement and bills of quantity through the development and demonstration of 'essential skills'. Elements of measurement and bills of quantities in accordance with the Australian Standard Method of Measurement of Building Works (ASMM) will be applied.

Objectives On completion of this course students should be able to:
- Investigate the process of building measurement
- Apply the rules for bills of quantities and ASMM
- Prepare building measurement and bills of quantities for five major trades according to the ASMM:
Groundworks
Concrete/Formwork/Reinforcement
Masonry
Roofing
Finishes
