A course of directed study in selected ancient history topics for graduate coursework students. The range of topics will vary according to staff availability but will concern issues in ancient Greek and Roman history, culture and historiography.
| Objectives | On completion of this course, students will be able to recognise key issues in a selected range of topics in ancient history studied at graduate level; evaluate historiographical problems related to selected historical themes; develop research and writing skills appropriate to graduate students of history; develop skills of critical thinking and analysis appropriate to the liberal arts. | ||||||
