This is a multidisciplinary course relating to Education, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Business Studies and Management, History, Aboriginal Studies, Communications and Linguistics. It provides insight into, and understanding of, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Languages and cultures and the issues involved for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians and non-Aboriginal and non-Torres Strait Islander Australians working in professions, Public Service, Government Interagencies and the Business and Corporate Sectors.

Objectives Students will have a sound understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Aboriginal and non-Torres Strait Islander Australian languages and cultures and bicultural competency in working together in providing educational, health, housing, employment, business management and service provision equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians and their communities. They will also have a greater understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australia and the value of this knowledge for all Australians.
