1. To consolidate and extend technical knowledge and practical skills;

2. To highlight opportunities for creative expression using various moulding, casting, modelling, carving and assembly processes;

3. To provide an opportunity for students to expand 3-D concepts to encompass multi-media approaches to Sculpture;

4. To establish the foundation of sound approaches to visual research and documentation;

5. To facilitate experimentation within various multi-media and interdisciplinary 3-D practice;

6. To encourage independent self-directed attitudes to 3-D investigation.
