Examines the range of approaches to contemporary writing in the visual arts. Although the scope of the material included will be wide, including popular media texts, the emphasis will be on developing creative, speculative and innovative approaches to writing art theory.
| Objectives | On successful completion of this course students will: (1) acquire skills to critically analyse contemporary writing in the visual arts; (2) develop an understanding of the interrelationships across research, writing and arts practice; (3) refine and adapt writing and research skills toward developing innovative strategies. |
