Enables students to develop technical and creative skills in the production of photographic works, combined with new technologies. The student will develop a greater understanding of the hybrid nature of combined technologies. Individual time commitment will determine depth of involvement.

Objectives 1. To complete projects based on creative control of both camera and computing media;

2. To expand contemporary photographic theory;

3. To develop the potential of digital and silver photography as a creative medium;

4. To develop further visual research material;

5. To further develop critical evaluation skills;

6. To define professional outcomes.
Content Topics may include:

A further review and advancement of the knowledge of equipment and its uses in creative digital and silver based imagery;

An examination of the aesthetics of artwork as pertaining to photomedia;

The production of digital artworks through computer printers;

An introduction to the principles and theories of colour vision and colour reproduction;

Ethics and practice;

Project development;

Health and safety.
