Locations

The majority of the Community Music Program options are delivered in Newcastle Conservatorium or in the various buildings around the University's Newcastle City Precinct. For a map of the City Precinct click here (pdf 48kb).

To accommodate music lovers from the Hunter Valley we also run a limited range of study options at 301 High Street, East Maitland. Enquiries: 02 4921 8900

Music Library

The Conservatorium Music Library is situated on the first floor of University House (located on the corner of Auckland and King Streets.) The library contains a vast amount of musical scores, recordings, books and reference materials. Conservatorium Community Music students may join for a minimal fee and have access to the library's resources to assist with their studies.

Monday - Thursday: 8:30am - 8:30pm

Friday: 8:30am - 7pm

Saturday: 1pm - 5pm

Harold Lobb Concert Hall

The Conservatorium Concert Hall is a 400 seat concert hall located in the heart of the Newcastle CBD.

The Hall is regularly used for concerts, lectures, and master classes by many local, national and international performing artists. It is also available for hire for private functions.
