Concerto for Group and Orchestra by Deep Purple (at the Great Hall – Callaghan Campus). The University of Newcastle Wind Orchestra under the direction of Ian Cook will perform this monumental work by Jon Lord. Also featured in the program will be the T-Bone Concerto by Dutch composer Johan de Meij. The trombone soloist is Colin Prichard, finalist of the International Space Time Concerto Competition.

Christ Church Camerata with Roger Woodward. Woodward performs Mozart's Piano Concerto in C, No. 25, around which, the Camerata performs Beethoven's Coriolan Overture and Symphony No. 7.

Wotopera.  Four Newcastle high schools have written four operas that showcase their creativity, talents and boundless imaginations. The schools will come together to perform their individual works and you are invited to delight in their journey and enjoy their creations.

Song Company – Birds and Angels. Mirth and magic from all creatures celestial provide the substance of this trademark Song Company Christmas program. Carols in Catalan, Ukranian and Spanish, but also beautiful pieces by composers living in our midst: Ross Edwards and Christopher Willcock.
