Concerto for Group and Orchestra by Deep Purple (at the Great Hall – Callaghan Campus). The University of Newcastle Wind Orchestra under the direction of Ian Cook will perform this monumental work by Jon Lord. Also featured in the program will be the T-Bone Concerto by Dutch composer Johan de Meij. The trombone soloist is Colin Prichard, finalist of the International Space Time Concerto Competition. |
