2nd Asia-Pacific Educational Integrity Conference
Call for Papers (now closed)
You are invited to contribute to this conference through submission on one
of the conference
themes.
Submissions may be either:
- a paper which will be peer-reviewed for publication (and presentation at the conference), or
- an abstract which will be reviewed for presentation at the conference (publication on website), or
- an abstract for a work-in-progress report for presentation at the conference (publication on website).
Poster sessions are also scheduled to take place throughout the conference program.
Submissions of peer-reviewed papers must be submitted as a Microsoft Word document using the APEIC template, following the format guidelines (pdf).
Submissions of abstracts (non-refereed papers) and complete papers (peer-reviewed) are invited, see Key Dates.
Pre-conference workshop proposals, to be held on 1 December, are invited by 16th September 2005 (extended from Friday 26 August 2005).

Presenters will be charged the Early Bird rate for registration.
Peer-reviewed papers
Papers submitted for the refereed conference publication will be reviewed
according to Australia's Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST)
refereeing standards involving a blind review process by two independent referees.
If substantial parts of this paper have already been published in either journal
or book forms, authors must explicitly indicate this on their submission.
- Papers will be returned to you to respond to the reviewers' recommendations
by 26th September 2005.
- Revised papers will then need to be resubmitted by 10th October 2005 using the
format guidelines ready for publication.
- For the paper to be accepted for the refereed publication, at least one of the authors must be registered to attend the conference.
Abstracts
for non-refereed papers or work-in-progress reports
The abstract will be reviewed upon submission and, following acceptance,
can be developed into a paper or a report of work-in-progress.
All papers will be included in the conference proceedings.

Please follow the same format
guidelines (pdf) for the preparation of both abstracts and peer-reviewed
papers.
Criteria for review
Papers will be expected to meet the following criteria:
- Relevance to conference theme(s)
- Clarity, coherence and organisation of writing
- Contribution to scholarship and/or innovative practice in education
- Knowledge of current thinking, research, policy and/or practice
- Appropriate application of research methodology and/or conceptual framework.
Abstracts will be expected to meet the following criteria:
- Relevance to conference theme(s)
- Clarity, coherence and organisation of writing
- Contribution to scholarship and/or innovative practice in education.
