Why our students need support

A university education is a significant commitment that can place great demands on students and parents alike. Increasingly, even full-time students work long hours in part-time jobs to pay their way through university.

A scholarship can help with a range of expenses including:

• fees
• accommodation
• text books and equipment
• day to day expenses
• travel costs

By giving to a scholarship you can support a subject area or discipline that you are interested in,  promote cultural activities through music and fine art, or  encourage participation in sporting disciplines.

Donor Involvement

By establishing or giving to a student scholarship you can be involved in the following ways:

• You may assist in determining the scholarship's criteria and participate in the selection process.
• If you fund an entire scholarship you may be able to play a role in determining the naming rights.
• You may wish to communicate with the scholarship recipient and follow their progress.
