Educator's Tour to China
If you are thinking of introducing Chinese language into your school, then our annual sponsored Educators' Tour to China may be for you.
This cultural and educational visit to China for school principals, deputy principals, and senior educators is organised every year by the Confucius Institute. Sponsored by Hanban, the Office of Chinese Language Council International, China, the tour provides school leaders from our region a first-hand experience of Chinese culture, history and language.
We encourage school principals to come and join this cultural and educational tour with us and bring their own experiences in China back to our young generation.
2015 Principals' Tour to China
We are inviting ten principals/deputy principals of private or independent schools in Newcastle and the Hunter region to join us on the Principals Tour to China 2015.
The tour provides an opportunity for participants to gain first-hand experience of Chinese culture, education and contemporary Chinese society.
The tour will take place during the school holidays in September 2015.
The tour will include visits to two Chinese cities with an opportunity to meet staff and students at local schools and universities. Participants will engage in informal discussions with Chinese educators and take part in cultural investigations and activities with a view to introducing and/or further developing Chinese language and cultural courses within their local schools.
Principals or deputy principals from private or independent schools in Newcastle and the Hunter region are eligible to apply.
