Chinese in schools
How we can help
Our aim is to support teachers, principals, education leaders and school communities to create educational opportunities for students to develop the core knowledge, skills and understandings our young people will need to thrive and prosper in the Asian Century.
It is clear that a consistent emphasis has been placed on Asia Literacy for both present and future Australians, whether it is through the teaching of Asian languages or Asian Studies across both the primary and secondary school curricula. What is important is the ways in which we are able to involve ourselves in, and prepare our kids for, the Asian Century ahead.
If you are thinking about introducing Chinese language and culture classes to your school, we can provide support including advice, introductory programs, networking and information exchange, professional development, and online resources.

Global integration and international mobility have increased rapidly in the past decade. As a consequence, new and exciting opportunities for Australians are emerging. China and other Asian nations are growing and their influence on the world is increasing. Australians need to become 'Asia literate', engaging and building strong relationships with Asia.
