Hunter Neuroscience

Welcome to Hunter Neuroscience.

Hunter Neuroscience was established in response to Hunter Medical Research Institute's Brain and Mental Health Research Program.

We seek to understand the functioning of the nervous system in health and disease at the molecular, cellular, system and behavioural levels.

Our goal is to encourage collaborative and multidisciplinary research, education, and application of learning at the preclinical and clinical stages, in the Newcastle and Hunter Regions.

Hunter Neuroscience focuses on the three themes of: Neurodevelopment, Neuroplasticity, and Adaptation through neuropathology and repair.

Through equitable distribution of funding from government and external donors, HN discovers new talent and forges strong research links at all levels.

We are now calling for submissions for the HN logo.

To HN Members:

Have you ever produced an image that you are so proud of, you'd like to share it with people all over the world?

If you have something special, (which is without copyright) that you think would look great on our webpage, please send it in.

This includes pictures of molecules, cells, tissues, parts of the brain, and the whole brain in 2D and 3D. Think colour or greyscale. Think static or moving.

Please submit your images (in any format), together with the story that tells of their production. Who was involved? What were you trying to achieve? Why is this image special to you?

Where to submit?

Please submit text and images to the page author using the following link, Contact Us.
