Inland Study Tour 2008Shortly after the combined 5th National and 1st Indigenous Family & Community Strengths confereces in April 2008, a party of 25 intrepid travellers journeyed to Australia's Red Centre to learn about one of the oldest cultures in the world. Paul Ngala, a local Arrernte identity, was tour leader, taking the party to his homeland–his "country"–where they learnt about ceremonies, creative activities (including the now world famous Aboriginal paintings), the kangaroo and bush tucker and the stories of how their land was created in The Dreamtime. The tour travelled from the Macdonnell Ranges to Emily Gap, Kings Canyon and Uluru. Some of our travellers have generously provided their Top 10 Pix, which we're featuring in a series of gallery page. Click here to see Jack's Top 10, Judi's Top 10 and Leonie's Top 10. |
