All professional development workshops are based on two key premises: the importance of recognising and capitalising on the strengths of boys to enhance boys' educational and social outcomes; and the importance of recognising and capitalising on the strengths of teachers, community members and schools to enhance their abilities to meet the boys' needs.
All staff development activities are research-based and evidence-informed. They can be full-day or half-day workshops, are tailored to the needs of your school, and offer a strength-based approach to engaging boys and promoting a positive male identity. They emphasise interaction and drawing out staff experience and expertise, and develop practical strategies that can be implemented at a classroom and whole-school level. Topics titles are:
