Strategic plan
Our 2004-08 strategic plan focuses on strengthening our position as a leader in the development and promotion of innovative models of practice. This will be achieved by:

• continuing to develop innovative models of practice

grow our research output, with all programs incorporating practice and research focus in their work plans

• marketing, promoting and publishing research and program activities
• establish strong, strategic partnerships (internal and external) to the University of Newcastle
• enhancing a healthy work culture
• increasing the number of staff to support the growth in activities
• increasing our financial sustainability through a balance in program funding sources.

The strategic focus will grow the Family Action Centre into a sustainable, values-based organisation that impacts on practice and policy in Australia to the benefit of families and communities.
