The Language Centre is located in a modern building set in a natural bushland setting.
The students have access to their own resource centre with reading, video and listening facilities. Our students also have their own common room equipped with food heating facilities and fridge. In addition to the resources in the Language Centre, our students also have access to two University libraries. The University library employs a staff member specifically designated to assist overseas students in library research and catalogue access. The University's Computer Technology Centre provides free computing lessons to Language Centre students. This centre provides a "Help" desk which is available to the students for 12 hours daily.

Courses are taught by fully qualified and experienced teachers of English as a Foreign and Second Language. Teachers are carefully selected for their ability in teaching international students as well as their caring nature. Many staff members have taught in a variety of Asian and European countries and understand the challenges and delights of living and studying in a foreign country.
Staff have regular in-service staff development programs which enable them to refine their classroom teaching using the most modern teaching methods.
The Language Centre is one of only 19 IELTS testing centres in Australia and tests are held monthly.

The Language Centre is situated within two minutes walk of the Callaghan Union Building which gives students easy access to health care, many types of restaurants, shops, a post office and a bank. Also included in these facilities are a hairdresser, travel agent, a bookshop, a games room and coffee shops. Also nearby is the Student Centre where students can access health care
There are many University sporting facilities within five minutes walk from the Language Centre. Language Centre students have free access to squash courts, tennis courts, cricket, soccer and baseball fields, basketball courts.
