International Foundation

Image of students The University of Newcastle has developed a special preparatory foundation program, to cater for International students with a minimum of 10 years education who seek admission to a Bachelor's undergraduate program in a range of disciplines. Each program is designed to allow students to specialise in their area of undergraduate choice.

International Foundation is generally a one-year (two semesters) program comprising 80 units. However, an intensive program exists where students commencing their program in Semester 2 may opt to continue their studies in the Summer Term (November - February) in order to commence their undergraduate studies in February of the following year.

In order to gain admission to an undergraduate program, students are required to successfully complete a set of courses and gain an Average Mark required by Faculties.
