Open Foundation by Distance

 Assessment and Examinations   

Assessment

Assessment in Open Foundation consists of progressive assessment (50%) and formal examinations (50%). Progressive assessment may consist of assignments, essays, field excursions, short tests or lab work.

Examinations

Exams take place at the end of each 10 unit course, commencing in mid June and November. Students need to pass all four 10 unit courses (40 units) to complete the program. Examinations will be held at major regional centres.
