Confidentiality of individual information used for statistical purposes has become a hot topic all around the world, especially with the emergence of databases containing the genetic information about individuals. Individual values kept in such databases should be protected from disclosure. In particular, it is desirable to have control mechanisms which would allow a sufficient amount of statistical analysis while preventing unprivileged users from inferring the values of individual records.
