Nord-Trondelag Health Study (HUNT) CAM substudy

This multi-disciplinary international collaboration examines the consumption of complementary and alternative medicines (CAM) in both Norway and Australia. Drawing upon both the Women's Health Australia survey data and the HUNT survey data, the project will explore a number of specific themes: the profile of CAM users in Norway; the prevalence of chiropractic use and the profile of chiropractic users in Norway; the relationship between age and the use of CAM in Norway; an international comparative analysis of women's use of CAM in Norway and Australia. This study provides the first ever detailed international comparative analysis of CAM use to date. Data analysis is in progress and a number of publications are currently being developed.
