Description

This program provides graduates with a strong research capacity, an advanced understanding of epidemiological concepts, and knowledge of the application of methods in biostatistics, and economics in a variety of health settings. The program has a strong public health focus, and aims to provide participants with the competencies to conceptualise, design and carry out epidemiological research that addresses priority health problems in both clinical and community settings. Finally it aims to integrate knowledge of the research methods from a range of health disciplines in the development of epidemiological research. There is the opportunity to undertake a specialisation in the areas of Clinical Epidemiology, Molecular and Genetic Epidemiology, Pharmacoepidemiology, Communicable Disease Epidemiology, Nutritional Epidemiology, Clinical Toxicology and Biostatistics. This is a fee paying program.
Australian students may be able to participate in the Higher Education Loans Program (FEE-HELP).
