Alumni Lecture (formerly Convocation Lecture)

The Alumni Lecture is organised by the Office of External Relations together with the Executive Committee of Alumni - a group of graduates elected to represent the University Alumni community. It is traditionally delivered by significant alumni or newly appointed academics to the University.

Professor Louise O'Brien discussed research related to the provision of mental health services, with a focus on mental health nursing, as well as the experiences of people with mental illness and their families.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Health, Professor Nicholas Talley spoke about the future education of health professionals to improve patient safety in the health system and develop new multi-disciplinary team training.
