Message from the Pro Vice-Chancellor
Creating new ways for the University to engage with the community will be high on the agenda of the new Pro Vice-Chancellor, External Relations, Professor Stephen Crump.
Professor Crump joined the University in 2006 and his expertise is in education and public policy; leadership and organisational development; philosophy of education and curriculum reform. He is a Visiting Fellow of the Institute of Education, the University of London (2010/2011), working with senior professors in a number of projects around policy enactments, higher education reform and global change.
Professor Crump, also continues as Pro Vice-Chancellor and Director of Central Coast and Port Macquarie Campuses, and will now be responsible for External Relations (formerly Corporate Development and Community Partnerships - CD&CP). In the coming months this will include an Office of Engaged Learning, which will be established to encourage student engagement with the community through work placement and experience, as well as volunteering and leadership roles.
"I look forward to forging more links between the alumni, community, industry, business and the University," said Professor Crump.
