Engaging with our community is an intrinsic part of the University's mission. In the international 2012 QS Stars rating we proudly received five stars for engagement.
At the heart of community-university engagement are mutually beneficial relationships that enhance teaching and learning for our students and help strengthen our region.
Through community-based learning, Work Integrated Learning, volunteering, leadership programs and innovative research, teaching and practice, our staff and students join with the community to build on existing strengths and look forward to sustainable, successful and vibrant futures.
The purpose of the Community Engagement office is to enable the community and the University to have a point of connection. Through relationship building and the sharing of knowledge and resources, we seek to fulfill specific community goals, promote equity and reward excellence. We are stronger when we work together.
This is our community, and this is your University.
