Newcastle University Students' Association  is the peak student representative body on campus and it is the only organisation on campus which is solely student controlled and focused.

NUSA is a democratic organisation whose controlling body, NUSAC, is elected annually by and from the student body. It provides student representation on campus and state and national representation through the National Union of Students.

NUSA is here to fight on behalf of students for an accessible and equitable education and against barriers that exist, such as racism, sexism, homophobia and financial.

In addition to representation, NUSA also provides a wide range of services, such as free lunchesfunding for clubs and societies and Opus magazine, just to name a few.
