Welcome to the Canberra Alumni Chapter!
The Canberra Alumni are the most recent Chapter to officially become apart of the UoN Global Alumni Network, with it's launch at the annual Canberra Alumni Reception in August, 2011.
Graduates living and working in Canberra or surrounding areas are encouraged to engage with the Canberra Alumni Chapter, to receive invitations to annual functions and UoN Alumni activities in Canberra and back home in Newcastle.
The Canberra Alumni Chapter is keen to support and provide advice on a range of matters for new grads entering graduate programs in Canberra, and Alumni moving to the area.

Chris MacDonald (Bachelor of Arts, 2002)
President - Canberra Alumni Chapter
Originally from the Central Coast, NSW, Chris completed a Bachelor of Arts - major History and Politics at UoN's Ourimbah Campus. He returned to Uni to complete a Master of International Relations in 2007, this was a step toward's his dream of working in Foreign Affairs.
In 2008, Chris made the move to Canberra where he began work at Parliament House. He has not looked back since! Chris' interests include; Travelling, cricket, rugby league and pub trivia.
Isabelle Potter (Bachelor of Arts, 1997)

Isabelle studied a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in History and Classics (1997) at both of UoN's Callaghan and Ourimbah Campus. During her studies Isabelle was involved in developing an Ourimbah Campus Classics Society with Emeritus Professor Godfrey Tanner becoming a Patron. On moving to Canberra, Isabelle enjoyed several years teaching primary school students.
Isabelle is a well travelled individual, she spent her childhood in Sydney and has lived and worked in other areas such as New South Wales, Queensland, Papua New Guinea and now Canberra. Isabelle's interests include; Car Racing, Tennis, Gardening, Lawn Bowls and is a volunteer at Calvary Hospital.
