Events and Functions

A varied and comprehensive Calendar of Events is compiled each year. This includes events such our popular public lecture series, dinners, cocktail parties, Awards functions and reunions specific to Faculty or discipline areas.

If you would like to attend events, please make sure you keep current details listed with the Alumni Office, especially your postal address This can be done easily online from the Home Page. This is important because many events are location based and your postal address is how we identify you for such. For example, for a cocktail party of graduates in Beijing or London or Sydney, we would extract a list of Alumni with an address in those locations. Don't forget to update if you move!

Keep in Touch with Friends

You may not be able to participate in Alumni events or functions, but would still like to keep in touch with your friends from University. This can be achieved if you keep us up-to-date with your current contact details.

Send us an email with as much detail as possible about yourself and the person you want to contact including, where possible, their name, program and years of study. If they are on our database, we can put you in touch.

If we are unable to contact them, the Alumni office is happy to post a short message on the Alumni website requesting they contact you directly. To take advantage of this facility, email alumni@newcastle.edu.au with the subject line 'find a friend'.
