Sydney Alumni Chapter

The Sydney Alumni Chapter, established in 1996, comprises graduates living or working in or near the Greater Sydney region and supports business and industry links between the Hunter and Sydney regions.

The Committee is re-establishing its activity with a group of more recent graduates who will be supported by members of the long established Committee.

Graduates who may be travelling to Sydney at a time an Alumni event is scheduled are welcome to attend. These events provide an opportunity for graduates to renew their links with the University of Newcastle and also a means for graduates to meet, network and take advantage of professional development programs.

The Sydney Alumni Chapter has established several award programs. These recognise professional achievements and community efforts of graduates living or working in the Greater Sydney region. Nominations are received from peers, colleagues or fellow graduates.

The Alumni Medal (Sydney)

  • Professor Mohamed Khadra, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Science and Design), University of Canberra
