After his IT studies with the PSB Academy at the UoN Singapore campus, Neel visited Qingdao, China, as a part of the Beijing 2008 student volunteer program. This visit made such an impression that he then studied Mandarin at Beijing University and decided to stay in China to search for work. “When I went for my job interview, one of the founders of my company was impressed with my resume and the diversity of courses while at college. The University of Newcastle brand name certainly helped me, especially considering I had no previous work experience.”

Neels current role requires diverse skills to help manage an online community of millions of gamers. “My job not only requires technical skills but also social and marketing skills.”
