In December 2010 Belinda was named ‘Newcastle Woman of the Year’ and has recently been named as one of the ten finalists in the ‘NSW Woman of the Year’ Award. Such accomplishments are no small feat for a woman who began as a receptionist for a plumbing and electrical maintenance business and went on to become the first female manager ever appointed in the company’s history.

Belinda has built the company from less than $400k annual income and no full-time employees, to a company with a $4million turnover and 45 employees.

Perhaps the key to Belinda’s success is what she considers one of the best lessons she learned during her time at the University of Newcastle. “Leadership is about people; success is about people; getting the best out of everyday living is about getting the best out of people.”
